TrinityHEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENT

All full-time CAS students pay a $200 health fee (Plan A) which covers services at the Health and Wellness Center, and are required to carry insurance through Trinity or on their own.  Non-CAS students may opt-in to the Health Fee and insurance as well.

All CAS students who do not have other current health insurance are required to purchase Plan B. The student insurance cost for Plan B will be added to your student account if proof of other insurance is not provided at the time of registration.

CAS STUDENT WAIVER INFORMATION

Trinity requires that each student in the College of Arts and Sciences be covered by health and accident insurance.  Therefore, the account of each CAS student who registers is automatically charged $549 for comprehensive insurance UNLESS the following criteria are met:

You are covered under your parents’ insurance (single students) or under group insurance provided to you by your or your spouse’s employer, or have medical assistance; and
You submit the below waiver form by September 4, 2013.  You should notify the Health and Wellness Center immediately if your insurance changes even if you will still have private coverage.

OPTIONAL COVERAGE FOR EVENING & WEEKEND STUDENTS (non-CAS, part-time, and graduate students)

Trinity is offering students the option to participate in a $200.00 health fee in the fall.   This fee covers all services delivered at the health center.  There is no other cost to the student.  Primary care and immunizations are available 5 days per week.  Lab work can be performed and all prescriptions ordered by health center staff can be filled at the health center as well.  Counseling and health education are also available.  Non-CAS students, full or part-time, are eligible to purchase this plan.  They can come to the Health Center to pick up forms and when completed, they can take them to the business office.  The fee can be paid there or added to their account.  This only covers care here on campus.  Any student who needs comprehensive health insurance during the year may purchase the student plan during open enrollment period.
