- You are covered under your parents’ insurance (single students) or under group insurance provided to you by your or your spouse’s employer, or have medical assistance AND
- You submit the below waiver form by Friday September 5, 2014 (fall enrollment for academic year coverage 8/1/2014 – 7/31/2015) or January 30, 2015 (for NEW spring enrollment 2/1/2015 - 7/31/2015 ). You should notify the Health and Wellness Center immediately if your insurance changes even if you will still have private coverage.

STUDENT INSURANCE PLAN OPTIONS
Student Health Center Supplemental Health Plan. The Health and Wellness Center is meant to serve as your primary care provider while you are away from home. In order to access these services throughout the school year for free, there is a onetime fee of $226.00. This health plan fee allows students year long access to the Health and Wellness Center which is staffed by Nurse Practitioners and a Counselor. This plan includes a limited outpatient and pharmacy benefit for those students that may have other coverage with limited benefits, high deductibles or a limited network of providers within the District of Columbia. Student Health Center Supplemental Plan does not include an inpatient hospitalization coverage, as those services would be covered under the Student’s primary plan.
Comprehensive Major Medical Health Insurance Plan. Trinity also offers students a comprehensive major medical plan through Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. This plan serves as primary coverage and provides more comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, pharmacy and additional benefit package.
Trinity Washington University is pleased to offer our students and their families Student Insurance Plan Options for the 2014-2015 Academic Year that offers access to comprehensive health care at an affordable premium, access to preferred providers for less out of pocket and online features to help you better manage your benefits.
